Graduate work

The research at BIM also includes a close cooperation with academic institutions in areas where BIM needs to build up or expand its competence.

BIM offers students from mainly the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology a possibility to perform their graduate works at the company. There are many employees at BIM who have started their career with a graduate work within the company.

Co-operation with universities

The SME:s (SME=Small and Medium size Enterprises) have an unique input of knowledge to the Swedish industry but continuously need to improve their competence level. Therefore, BIM has instituted an ambitious Industrial PhD Programme for competence enhancement within SME companies.

Over the years, BIM has offered to assume responsibility for severals postgraduate engineers working on doctor ́s degrees on subjects of interest to the corporation, but also on subjects of potential interest to BIM customers within the pulp and paper industry.
