For the third year in a row, BIM Kemi has been awarded a gold medal in recognition of sustainability achievements from EcoVadis. Ecovadis is an independent sustainability assessment agency evaluating companies globally and across several business sectors. The EcoVadis rating reflects the quality of the company’s sustainability management system in terms of policies, routines, and results.
We are evaluated across four themes: Environment, Labour & human rights, Ethics, and Sustainable procurement. Once again, the evaluation shows that BIM Kemi is among the top 5 % of all companies assessed in our industry.
Some of our policy strengths were the endorsements of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Responsible Care Global Charter. Some challenges for the future are to include more detailed reporting, quantitative targets, and follow-up.
